As with any report in Toast, The Order Details Report can be filtered to view orders that were placed in the past, present, or to be made on a future date. This is useful for viewing catering orders ahead of time for preparation purposes.
This report will show an aggregated view of all items across all items in a table at the top, so you can begin working on large batch items together, without having to look through each order. Begin by navigating to the Sales report in Toast's back-end.
Navigate to the Order Details tab and choose the appropriate time frame for the orders you wish to view. If your restaurant allows for scheduled ordering (for online orders, for example), select the More dropdown and make sure that Scheduled Orders is checked. Select Update.
A list of orders will appear with the details of the check including the payment status (open, paid, or closed), the customer's contact details, the employee that opened the check, the expected time for the order to be ready, and an itemized list of the order.
You can also print the orders from this report, and each order will print on it's own page.
