Toast can be configured to send an automatic text message to servers and/or customers when an order is fulfilled on the expo. This allows customers to wait for their food outside without having to check every few minutes whether or not their food is ready. Servers are able to know immediately when their table's food is ready. To take advantage of this feature, you'll need an expo screen. Note that text on fulfillment currently is not supported when a customer orders from Kiosk Mode.

To enable texts to be sent when an order is fulfilled, navigate to Kitchen Setup under the Kitchen / Dining Room section.
1.) Check customer and/or server for each relevant mode: Quick Service, Table Service, and Online Ordering.
2.) Confirm that the default message is appropriate for your restaurant, or customize the text. Be sure to save and publish changes.

- $ORDER - Order Number
- $RESTAURANT - Restaurant Name
- $CUSTOMER - Customer Name
- $TABLE - Table Number
If you've selected text notifications for servers, be sure that their phone number is programmed under their employee account in Toast.
Quick Service Workflow
