Integrated Caller ID
When a customer calls in to place an order, their name and number are automatically recognized in Toast. This functionality can cut the time it takes to complete a phone order in half. Toast automatically pulls the customer’s order history, making for easy repeat orders and a better customer experience.
This functionality requires a VoIP or analog caller ID box. Please contact your account rep or firstname.lastname@example.org to get started.
With the improved discounting engine in Toast, BOGO discounts will require that both the eligible items are on the check before the discount can be applied.
If the promotion is to buy a burrito, get a drink free, for example, Toast will require that the drink and the burrito are on the ticket before the discount can be applied.
Item Specific Discounting
Item-specific discounting allows you to lock down a discount to individual menu items. If kids meals are 50% off on weekdays, you can restrict that discount to only be applied to kids meal menu items.
These improvements to the discounting engine give you more control and prevent servers and cashiers from discounting ineligible orders.
