Many restaurants have out of stock items that clutter the order screen and make the ordering process longer than it needs to be. Instead of deleting the item only to re-add it when it's available again, you can hide and unhide it from the menu.
Here's an example of a crowded menu of out of stock beers:
Here's the menu again after hiding the unavailable choices:
To clean up your menu, head to the Menu section of the backend and choose Advanced Properties.
Once here, change the options in the dropdown menu to show the columns 'Visibility' and 'Inventory'.
Now, go ahead and scroll to the menu containing the items you'd like to hide, expand it with the (+) on the left of it, and you can clearly see what you're out of that's cluttering your menu.
To hide an item, click on the cell under Inventory and change it to Hidden. This will hide the item from the order screen. Items can be unhidden at any time.
