If a customer would like to delete/change their Rewards Account or Gift Card, the best way to do so is by using the Transfer Gift Card Tool.
The first step is going to the Gift/Rewards Report, you would click on the "Rewards Accounts" tab if you are looking for a Rewards Account, as well as to find the card #'s. You will need the old card # as well as the new card # before moving to the next step. You can find the customer's account by using the search bar at the far right.
In this example I searched for "rick" which allowed me to locate the two cards in question.
Next step is to take these numbers and open the Transfer Gift Card tool, which can be found under the "Manager" section of the Toast backend:
Once you click on "Transfer Gift Card" you will have two options:
1. Transfer balance to new card and deactivate - Transfers balance of Old Card and deactivates so that it is no longer valid.
2. Combine with new card - This will leave both cards active, but sharing the same combined balance.
Choose which action you would like to take and then click "Next". You have successfully transferred a gift card/rewards account.
