There are several new filters that are available today for any report that has to do with items, or checks. This includes the Toast Sales, Toast Sales Exceptions and Toast Menu reports.
Example Scheduled Order Report:
To explain these new filters, let's use a specific example from catering. With catering, we have had a lot of customers ask us that we create a report which will show them all of their scheduled orders for that day and week. We built this functionality into the Order Details tab of the Toast Sales Report. In this example you will see that I set the filters to show the Sales Report and then all orders that were scheduled. The scheduled filter will show all of the orders that are scheduled to be delivered on the day (or days) that you have filtered. In this example I filtered for a month. Now, you can click Ctrl + P or Cmd + P and this will print off on a 8.5” and 11” from any computer connected to a printer.
Selecting a Filter from the More Section.
Click on “More”. You will see a drop down menu with all of the advanced filters.
After you have added a filter to the report, you will see it appear right below the rest of the standard filters. In this example, all of the advanced filters have been added. However, only the filters that are selected will appear for use. Now you will have to select a value to filter. In the following example you will see that Scheduled and Tax Exempt has been set to Yes, and Voided has been set to No. We are also selecting that the source should only show those orders that were ordered Online. There are other filters that have been selected, but we are skipping over them in this example.
There is now a menu Item summary at the top of the Order Details page. This shows a list of the top ordered items, so that you can plan your kitchens as efficiently as possible. The details of each individual order will be in the section right below it.
Please note that this report might take a long time to load, especially if you do a month’s worth of orders or if you select more than one location at a time.
The Order Details Section
Below the Top Items section is the Order Details. You will see several additions to this section. It will show the Expected Time which is the time that it should be delivered/ready for pick up. The Prep Time is how soon before the Expected time the order will fire to the kitchen. It will also show the items and modifiers that are a part of the order and any payments that have already been made on that order.
