In Toast POS v 1.9.3 significant consideration was given to improving payment processing and ensuring that payments that encounter problems are more reliably preserved.
In the rare situation when the tablet or the Toast App crashes while processing a payment, the system will prompt you to recover / resume the payment.
Upon re-starting the app after a mid-payment crash, a message (below) will appear to provide the user a choice.
Discard - Cancels the original credit card authorization and returns to the payment screen. The payment will not appear on the check. If the same card is to be used, it must be re-swiped or re-keyed.
Resume - Resumes the authorization that was in progress before the cash and proceeds with the next steps.
