If the tablet appears to be frozen or the Toast POS stops working, you may receive the following prompt:
Pressing OK and reopening the Toast POS app should fix the issue and allow you to use the system normally.
If you reopen the Toast POS app and the screen is still locked or frozen:
- Go to the Settings app of the tablet device.
- Locate Applications on the left side menu and find the Toast POS app.
- Select the Toast POS app and select Force Stop
- Attempt to re-open the Toast POS app from the tablet homepage
if you are unable to open the Toast POS app due to the tablet being frozen and the tablet is not responding to your input:
- Press and hold the tablet power button for 5-10 seconds.
- Power the tablet back up and try to open the Toast POS app.
