Set your restaurant's hours of operation in Toast's back-end by navigating to Hours/Services under the Marketing section. Here you can define service periods like breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and setup times in which your restaurant is open for business!
Start by entering your service periods. Order them using the number column on the left. Be sure to save when you're finished!
Create your restaurant's daily hours of availability, or schedules, as necessary. For example, your breakfast hours on the weekends may vary from your hours on the weekdays. In this case, you'll want to create two schedules titled "Weekends" and "Weekdays." If each of your days are different, create another row for every day. This is also where you would be able to create your hours of service for any upcoming holidays.
Select the Edit tool to configure the hours for each service time. If your restaurant is closed for lunch, for example, deselect the Available? option. Don't forget to save any changes!
Select the days that correspond with the schedule you created. In this example, we created weekends and weekdays, so we've selected each weekday and each weekend to match their appropriate schedules. Be sure to save and publish your changes.
Finally, It should also be noted that the your Hours and Services listed here will dictate whether or not your restaurant is open to receive an Online Order. For example, if your restaurant is set to begin accepting Online Orders when you open at 9:00am, then Toast's Online Ordering module will not accept orders until 9:00am.
