Printed kitchen tickets can be configured to show an individual prep station's items at the top of the ticket followed by all remaining items from other prep stations at the bottom of the ticket.
Any employee that is prepping an order can see exactly what is being prepared at the prep station where the ticket was printed, as well as any remaining items on the order that are being prepared at other prep stations. This essentially allows any prep station to act as an expediter.
When using this setting, the entire order prints at every station, but will be ordered differently (that prep station's items will print at the top).
To configure, navigate to Prep Stations under Kitchen / Dining Room settings.
For each prep station, check off all other prep stations that should appear on that prep station's kitchen tickets.
If you do not want a specific prep station's items to print at other prep stations, make sure it is unchecked in the drop down. For example, it's common for bar/drink prep stations to only print items at that prep station.
In the example above, all menu items that are prepared at the Cold prep station will also print at the Appetizers/Entrees, Dessert, and Pizza prep stations.
For example, if a Caesar Salad is configured to be prepared at the Cold prep station, adding it to Other Stations: Appetizers/Entrees, Dessert, and Pizza will result in the Caesar salad being printed at all four prep stations. It will appear at the top of the ticket at the Cold prep station, and at the Appetizers/Entrees, Dessert, and Pizza prep stations, the Caesar Salad will be listed as an item coming from the Cold prep station and will be shown below any menu items that are prepared at any other prep stations.
